This area not only has significant value to the local fauna and wild life in the local area you are also putting strain on a area that hasn't got and won't have the infrastructure to support it

I have grown up with the wick in my life since early 1950's, played there and walked my dogs. A large chunk has already disappeared under housing and a supermarket. So many people's lives are enriched by this green space which supports a wide range of plant and animal life. It should be kept for future generations to enjoy.

The town is too overcrowded already.this area has bad traffic flow and why destroy and area of natural habitat with established surrounding woodland and fields when there are plenty of other areas that wouldnt require destroying habitats

We need to keep this greenspace even if it means a volunteer group managing the site on behalf of the community

We cannot continue to cover everyblade of grass with concrete, It takes decades and decades for trees and shrubs to reach their maturity and play their part in destroying carbon dioxide. Replacing old with new is useless. At all costs we must keep our open spaces and wildlife for our children and their children.
