Tell Ministry of Defence to Take Colchester Middlewick ranges off the for sale list

The loss of wildlife and flora and fauna - when so much is being lost worldwide - would be criminal. And what would the carbon footprint be should houses be built here? Or is the Ministry of Defence ignorant of climate change?

the area is not suitable for housing for a number of reasons, one of the reasons is the lack of infastructure in the area, in particular is severe traffic congestion

An important wildlife area including skylarks,nightingales,lizards,newts,grasssnakes,slowworms,àdders,badgers,deer,foxes,3types of owl,kestrel,sparrow hawks,peregrines

Please, please don't concrete over all our green spaces - we need them to remain human!!!

This is extremely valuable land for human protection providing valuable recreational and mental health provision, as well as being hone to diverse and numerous valuable animal as l and insect life, some of which, the bee for one example,are an endangered species. It is the only land available to the south of Colchester to provide above mentioned vital facilities

This vote is from 3 of us because some don’t have face book but as a household of cheveling road we appose the building let us have a nature park like highwoods

This has so much wildlife thriving here. Too much to destroy with more housing . Colchester has far too many new housing estates going up. Leave this area be please!

It must not be used for any housing it’s the wrong place and too many species will be lost forever.

With the need for combatting climate change top of the world agenda and Colchester having met its housing need target, it is important to protect our green spaces. Colchester towns people passionately support our military . So Middlewick Range should be a green resource for both military and town. Simples!

In this day and age nature and green zones are more important than ever!!

We are in desperate need of saving vital habitats and green areas such as those found here.

As a lifelong Colchester resident who has always supported our Army guests to our town, I ask that you return the favour and be the good neighbour too.

This is a great place to walk and take the dog. It has been part if the community since I was a child. It balances the local area between green space and the established built up communitys.

100's of years of history and enjoyment created by the wick, for thousands of people over the years. Would be a disaster to loose it

This is an important area for wildlife and should not be developed

This land has been shared with the local community for generations. The local residents have provided lots of goodwill to the military in this area. It is between long standing council estates with little other green space nearby.

Please save this valuable wildlife site. Once destroyed, it can't be replaced.

Is every bit of green in and around Colchester going to be paved over and built on? What about the environment? What about infrastructure?
