Save the middle wick Rangers

Building on this land will create more road congestion, more pollution from traffic and more pressure on doctors etc. This natural beauty spot should be kept for future generations to enjoy.

We would like a Country Park not more houses. There will be no green fields left for our children to play anymore.

Please return the ranges back to the people for a country park to be enjoyed by everyone. Lets have a bit of green space left in Colchester.

We have to try and keep the green spaces we have to protect the wildlife. Building on the Wick will, I think, have a detrimental effect on the air quality, probably heighten flood risk in the built up areas around it, and the infrastructure cannot cope!

Let’s be sensible about this, new homes will increase the amount of cars on the road and it’s already way too congested. Locals will lose a place to walk their pets and see wildlife. The area can not cope with more development, give the gifted land back and turn it in to a park instead. For the record I intend to move in the next year or so, so this is not simply a case of NIMBY...

Please invest in a country park for the community of South Colchester instead.

Development on The Wick is totally impractical as the infrastructure, roads, schools GP’s, sewage etc are not sufficient to accommodate additional housing. This is secondary to the irreversible damage that would be wildlife habitat on The Wick.

This land was gifted to MOD. They must return it!

The Middlewick Ranges are beautiful as they are nobody wants to see a housing development. It should be a green space.

Please reconsider developing this green space. There will be a devastating loss of wildlife. Also there is not enough infrastructure to facilitate this many new homes.

Keep Middlewick as it is, for the wildlife and us!!!

Poor infrastructure roads not coping now. The sewage works smells a lot of the time so not able to manage currant usage. Doctors surgeries are not taking new patients. Schools also full.

This area couldn’t cope with the extra people or cars. Doctors, schools, dentists don’t have room!!! Top of that, leave our green fields alone

We need to protect areas of important biodiversity. We need open green spaces. The MOD needs to think again.
