Having spent 17 years working at Massey Veterinary Teaching Hospital, I am absolutely astounded at this mans comments. He needs to spend 24 hours on call with a female large animal vet in the calving season.

this guy needs to get in the bin.

As a Massey graduate I am disgusted and angry that the Vice Chancellor should hold and voice such sexist beliefs.

This is horrifying. The only honourable thing is for him to resign. He is not fit to be in this role.

Disgusting comments, berating all who pass through the program. Comments like this do a great disservice to the university on a whole and all who work hard to achieve their goals.

I find this incredibly disheartening to hear from somebody who represents the university. What a way to discourage students from working hard.

Kelly's views are not only outrageous, they signal an attitude towards women that means it is not viable to be in a leading position in an industry which is now majority female. An apology isn't good enough.

Unbelievable attitude and wonder how he has managed to still be involved in education.

this line of thought is antiquated and in no way supportive of humans as a race moving forward regardless of gender

I was absolutely disgusted by the chancellors comments and don't want his signature on my vet degree when I graduate!

I cannot believe that someone with such a backward view is in a position of power at Massey university.

Massey University should encourage people of all genders to follow their passions, work hard and succeed. There should be no room or platform for sexist views as expressed by the Chancellor.

Very disappointed that this man has any power at an utterly disappointing university and that this attitude is so common in vet school.

I am all for encouraging diversity in gender, ethnicity and socioeconomic backgrounds. However there is no need for derogatory and insulting comments to be made.
