XXX Tell Gov Walz in MN that Fitness Boutiques don't belong in the category with health clubs, gyms and cinemas

I have been going to Awaken Pilates for years. As a boutique studio, they are already equipped to abide by all social distancing and safety practices. Even prior to Covid-19 concerns, clients there have ample space between each other and instructors. Even group classes are only a few people at a time. They, like many other fitness boutiques may not be able to survive months of being shut down. It seems unfair that salons can reopen with more person-to-person contact than fitness boutiques. We risk losing many of these businesses that people have worked hard building over the years, and at little to no risk for their clientele.

Martial Arts schools should be allowed to open with a small student ratio

I am a small business owner as well. I operate on a schedule a d by appointments. I only train 1-4 people at a time and can distance and follow guidelines appropriately.

1 person for personal training is not the same as a huge gym!

Open the gyms!!!!

Exercise and health are essential.

I think that now is the time more than ever that fitness is important-if a person got COVID 19-wouldn't there best chances be with a strong immune system? I've heard exercise is kind of good for your immune system...

Please recognize that one on one training is not the same as a group gym. If a fitness facility can have only a few clients at a time and have safe practices, the facility should be able to open.

Martial Arts school should fall into this as well

Functional Fitness has come up with a carefully thought out plan to reopen. Read it. Let them reopen.

It would be WAY safer to do a Pilates session at my studio than it is to go to the grocery store!

Studio & boutique fitness/wellness centers are not the same as large gyms and movie theaters. These are small businesses that are capable of adherence to CDC and state guidelines for safety. It’s time to let them open!

Mr. Walz please consider this.

I am very cautious and am fortunate to work from home and only go out for essentials wearing my mask. I am completely comfortable that my small boutique Pilates studio will be a clean, socially distant, compliant place to be. Please listen to this petition and consider it seriously; opening these boutique studios is critical to the economy and well-being of many. Lastly, please focus on testing and tracing to understand Covid concentrations as an effective tool to get the economy moving again. Thanks for all you are doing; a very hard job.

Please open smaller studio fitness centers.

To have a tattoo parlor open and not these is insane! I

Not all businesses for fitness are the same, small ‘boutique’ centers have a much better ability to properly distance and disinfect equipment than do many ‘essential’ businesses. While large gyms may not be able to meet the states criteria, small studios can easily meet and exceed any expectations. Please let them open if they have proper plans in place.

There is no reason to not have these boutique gym open . Every class is already small and the facilities are sanitary! That’s why we choose to go to these.
