the greatest command is to 'Love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind and Love your neighbor as yourself'. We are not reflecting this at Erskine.. Not the Erskine I loved and graduated from in 1979. Let us all see one another as Jesus sees us.

I am an Erskine Alumni, class of 1981 and I am a Gay Christian. This Statement on Human Sexuality is needless and puts a bad image on a college that influenced my life in so many good ways. I still love Erskine College but please guys enough of the politics and abuse toward LGBT+ people!

Erskine, please reconsider the message of bigotry, fear and hate you are teaching your student body, and sending your alums and the nation. Choose the true Christian message of love, not fear or hatred, acceptance, not retribution. Don't establish a statement that agrees with your own prejudice and call it God. Please. It's like arguing slavery all over again.

Erskine, choose love, not hate and fear. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for numerous suicides of gay and lesbian teens . Choose to be loving and accepting, not judgemental.

Rescind this statement. My school, which was once known for its academics and the quality of care for students is now known nationally as an institution of intolerance for those who are LGBT. No more.

Considering that a large percentage of Christian marriages end in divorce, it is hypocritical and baseless to proclaim that gay relationships are "destructive." There are millions of talented and successful LGBT people in the world. But a college making prejudiced assumptions - now THAT is destructive.

I don't believe in cherry picking which sins to call out and take a stand on. I think we all fall short of perfection and we all need grace and forgiveness. I think Christian colleges should love people to Christ, encourage them in their faith journey and create an environment free from the bullying and hate that is pervasive in our world today. I miss my old Erskine.

sad what Erskine has become. Religion has no place in education. Stop judging. Grow up
