It's been reported today (1 November 2014) that workmen are test-drilling holes around the Banksy artwork called Art Buff which is on the wall of an amusement arcade which backs on to Payers Park. We think this is so that Dreamland Amusements who own the building can remove and sell the artwork.
We, the undersigned, believe that this art was a gift from the artist Banksy to the people of Folkestone and demand that Dreamland Amusements do not remove it from the town!
We call on Shepway District Council to make what ever provisions are necessary to protect this artwork and save it for the people of Folkestone.
Such a shame it has been removed. So many local businesses have benefitted through the influx of visitors to the town to see it. As usual the Godden empire taking something away from the town which made them their millions in the first place.
