From the House to the Senate! ​Trump's Tax Plan = 20% Pay Cut for Grad Employees

Please protect the ability of lower and middle class Americans to pursue an advanced education. This bill would, without exaggeration, make that nearly impossible for many thousands of current graduate students in New Jersey alone.

This is a direct attack on our country's ability to produce an educated populace.

This bill should have never passed!

I stand with Rutgers TA's and GA's!!

I want to THRIVE after school, not suffer through and after.

This is a senseless decision which would make higher education and the resulting social mobility ,impossible. It looks like a ploy to curb scientific discourse in this country and keep the masses uneducated and uninformed.

This is an unconscienceable attack on higher education. I hope the Senate does not stoop to the venality of House Republicans. No individual making ~$30,000 a year deserves a 300-400% tax hike so multi-millionaires don't have to pay an estate tax, corporations bank more profit, or Wall Street financiers get a bigger bonus. Remember your duty as representatives calls upon you to serve a wider vision of the public good, not merely your campaign donors' pocket books.

Please denounce this tax plan for its undue tax burden on graduate students.

The GOP tax plan will make life impossible for graduate students teaching American students and contributing knowledge to American society

Please do not tax many of these students out of university, since once graduated they will make wonderful taxpayers with higher incomes and job security.

There are many abhorrent things that have been written into this bill, but signing any bill that hurts graduate students, and therefore graduate school research that greatly benefits our nation, most clearly shows a willingness to burn the country's future just for the sake of a bigger payday right now for a handful of the people.

I oppose taxes that do not make sense.

This policy will curb innovation and research in States.

I oppose the taxation on fee waivers

Vehemently oppose the passing of such outrageous bill

This bill will kill graduate school education and the US will cease to be competitive -

Tuition remission is not income and absolutely should not be taxed.
