Guerneville has long been an established full-time community to thousands of families. Not only does the Guerneville Safeway serve the year-round needs of Guerneville residents, but serves the entire West County community from Forestville and Rio Nido to Cazadero and several coastal communities. This store needs proper management, staffing, and scheduling. The store is an embarrassment to the employees who have dedicated many years of service to this community, but are unable to maintain any consistent service in the face of misguided management and administrative disorganization.

its a terrible thing to have to stand in line at Safeway for over 20 min anytime of day for lack of checkers & baggers.

The Guerneville Safeway store serves a large year round community!

Guerneville Safeway services much more than one community. It's time for attention where it's long over due.

Almost all the 'summer' homes in the Guerneville area are now FULL TIME RESIDENCES. Not so much a summer time destination, but a thriving all year round community. AND the Guerneville Safeway is the worst I've ever shopped. Cramped, understaffed, overpriced. Please FIX IT NOW!

Perhaps at one time, 30 years ago, Guerneville was a "seasonal" place. Times have changed - it's 2014, and the River area is filled with year-round residents! It's too bad that Safeway is the only super market here! Since upper management doesn't care about us, and the store manager doesn't care, I guess we'll stop shopping there also! I usually just use the ATM there, and pick up my meds at the pharmacy!

I would rather drive to Raleys in Santa Rosa than to shop at Guerneville Safeway. The poor workers have to deal with angry customers all day long because there is never enough staff to handle the amount of customers.

worst grocery store ever... lousy from the ground up! Poor employees have to put up with complaints while managers hide up stairs.... sad

Get with it, Safeway! You could make a better profit if you better served your patrons! Lots of hungry families in Guerneville!

Safeway is a legend in Guerneville for the poor upper management. It's a busy, important store. Gooooood people work there but the few that are employed cannot do it all. Hire and make it better. The community gives you so much. Please give it back and help your employees be their best.

This Safeway clearly does not care about it's customer. I dread shopping there, however, it's the only "game in town". The aisles are constantly loaded with boxes, pallets, carts and junk, so that one can't even pass with their basket. I had a bad fall over an empty pallet in the aisle, the manager was too busy to talk to me! Safeway just doesn't seem to give a damn about the people in our community.

Shopping at this particular store is nothing short of a nightmare a lot of the time. However, most of the employees are great and have my admiration for all they have to put up with between management and irate customers.

I live in Santa Rosa and have other options. Safeway is my least favorite place to shop in Sonoma County

You guys really need to put some effort in to fixing this. I would love to utilise the convenience of shopping at a store that is less than % minutes from my house. But the thought of going in to even pick up my prescriptions makes me cringe. The lines are always long and it's not well kept. So, YEAR ROUND (since I live here YEAR ROUND), I do all my shopping in Santa Rosa, because spending really is more appealing than standing in long lines, or wondering if I'm going to be able to get anyone to help me find what I need this time.
