I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you care about bringing these lyrics back to our city. If you could send this link to a few people today we might actually reach that one thousand mark to show the department how much this means to us.

Ridiculous decision to take it down. It was a proper piece of belfast history and looked way better than a plain grey wall.
john peel would be raging at this. bring back the lyrics.
waste of money removing it, total nonsense.
Belfast isnt belfast without the undertones. total disgrace to paint over it.
Teenage kicks is a classic! why would they remove something that actually brings a bit of character to the city? put it back!

i grew up looking at that wall. let some local art back on there instead of boring concrete.
