The school’s current standards are far below expectations, leading to staff dissatisfaction and high turnover as well. Immediate action is needed to improve conditions and retain quality educators

• Staff members’ overall disappointment with the school management needs to be mediated and resolved. Many are leaving without even giving prior notice.
• Teachers have not been replaced when they leave. Almost 50 teachers have left the school, yet no replacements have been made.
• Younger students now have no assistant teachers. Assistants are covering two to three classes (over 65 students at a time), which is creating serious problems in both learning and overall student safety.
• The school has removed attendants and supervisors from their posts, clearly compromising the safety of the students.
• Class schedules are still clashing (especially in high school), preventing effective learning.
• Due to a lack of proper planning, training, and curriculum implementation, parents are left in the dark about how the school is teaching.
• Middle management is overwhelmed with many problems created by AdvTech’s decisions, with no solutions possible at their level.
• No upper management presence is visible in the school for parents to share and discuss their concerns regarding students.
• Parents requesting transcripts have no direct office or body to approach for support.
• Senior students spend most of their day on their phones or in the hallways, instead of in class.
• The school relies only on teachers as the sole teaching resource. No additional learning resources have been introduced. While technology has been suggested as a solution, it may support upper graders but lower graders need active learning approaches.
• A committee including teachers, students, parents, and school representatives must be formed to address these ongoing challenges.
• Midterm assessments could have been manageable if time and resources had been properly used. Instead, the school wasted the first two weeks.
• Self-contained classes currently have no teachers. Music and Amharic teachers are being asked to cover these classes, which creates a serious gap in subject expertise.
