No more new construction or developments in Atlee!

The housing density is already to high in the Atlee Station Road corridor, and this is only going to make it worse. Infrastructure will barely support what exists, and I will not support a tax increase of any kind for infrastructure improvements because of over-building.

As a lifelong resident (55 years), I've watched the once rural nature of Hanover be eroded away. Is this county trying to emulate Chesterfield and Henrico? Taylor "Farm"? Huh...not anymore.

Recently moved to Honey Meadows to be surrounded by trees and quiet, not cars and more traffic. The area is already highly congested due to schools and regular traffic.

We moved to Hanover County to get away from the super high density per acre developments going on in other parts of the Richmond area and now the Board of Supervisors and County are allowing Hanover to turn into another Short Pump/Moseley. Stand up for those same reasons that I'm sure some of you moved here for!

Do any of the board of supervisors drive the Atlee Station Road corridor and surrounding areas to witness the horrible traffic conditions?

Concerned with quality of live by the continued development of high density development. Traffic is horrible during school and rush hours. Additional cars and people at the level suggested at Taylor farm would exasperate the problem. This type of growth is not what I desire in Hanover County.

Very concerned with the density of the neighborhood in comparison with surrounding neighborhoods and also the impact of traffic on Honey Meadows road.

I concur with the other comments noted within this petition. New high density development here will only increase the ever-increasing traffic issues, impose higher demands on the schools, and further reduce the quality of life in Hanover that many have selected intentionally (i.e. not growth areas of Henrico/Chesterfield). We hope someone within the county government will step up and do the right thing and reconsider this development.

The traffic on Atlee Station Road is already very heavy, with waits of 10-15 minutes just to make a left turn from current subdivisions onto the road at peak times. It has taken in excess of 30 minutes to travel a mile from the schools to home. It is unacceptable to add more traffic to this already bad situation, especially so near the schools.

Like many already stated, we too moved here in large part because the school system. We are already fighting with overcrowding in our shools and this would certainly add to that congested area as well. Altee Station road is crazy during peak hours as it is and can't imagine what it would be like it this development is completed. And no, simply adding lanes to AS road does not solve the problem.

Not until something is done about the traffic.

Until a plan for improving traffic flow and safety on Atlee Station Road is concurrently provided this will add another bottleneck in an already hazardous area for traffic. I am a current resident in the area with two children at Atlee High School. The Board of Supervisors should spend a day in the area instead of relying on information from developers. lawyers and engineers.

My family and I moved to Hanover County from Henrico County in May of 2009. We moved here for the schools and the LACK of overgrowth in comparison to the West End and other parts of Henrico County. It has been very disappointing to watch the rate of growth in Hanover in just the last 5 years! Enough is enough. The main reason we moved to Richmond over 25 years ago was to get away from the traffic and overcrowded schools in NJ! We just can't let this development happen, and if we had been more informed regarding the homes going up right smack next to Chickahominy Oaks, I would have fought against those too! I don't want any 4 lane roads, that is what 295 is for. Thanks for starting this petition!

I moved to Rutland because of the Hanover school system. My daughter is 1. I would prefer that we not overcrowd schools before she's out of diapers. Thanks!

The time has come to slow down on development and if future development is warranted to make sure the infrastructure can support the growth and not think of that as an afterthought. Most residents of the Hanover area off of 301 chose this area for the suburban but yet rural benefits and lifestyle it provides. Life can not always be about the money!

I am opposed to the Taylor Farm development of 4 units per acre.

Atlee Station road can not handle anymore traffic and our schools are already overcrowded. New apartments just went up, more new subdivisions are being built, more subdivisions are already approved to be built that will impact Atlee Station road and a new fly over is going to be built to allow even more traffic. Enough already. I have lived in Hanover County since 1976 and our government has let us down with the amount of growth in certain areas of the county. This seems to be more about lets build it and we will solve the problems that come from our discussions later. Do not let this project go forward.
