It is a travesty that the work that our forefathers had put in to build this nation is being forgotten by forgetting the language of some of the tamil forefathers such as the Great Rajaratnam who wrote the Singapore pledge, as well as JYM Pillai one of the many great minds who played a Part in making Singapore International Airlines what it is today, some of Singapore's leading ministers are also tamil, such as Mr. K Shanmugam who is the Minister of Law and Mr.Tharman shanmugaratnam. And not to forget, our current President of our nation is also a TAMIL. Mr S.R Nathan, despite all our achievements, tamil is not placed in important signboards.Tamils have played a huge part in building this great Nation that we call our Singapore. And despite all our efforts our country does not give Tamil the recognition that it deserves by not placing it in signboards such as Changi Airport and many of the brown signboards of important Tourist destinations. Please do your part, sign this petiton. And pass the message around, if the authorities realizes that all INDIANS wheater they are tamil speaking or not, are united in their aspirations that Tamil should be placed back in the signboards, they will have no choice but to reconsider their stand. Please sign this petiton and spread the world. Thank You
I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people feel this same connection to our history. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I never imagined so many others would feel this strongly about our shared heritage.
