It was a muggers paradise in 2000 & much worse now. Keep Ashton people safe.

Clearly a problem. Not manned by police presence and next to schools and businesses. Not necessary and should be closed up.

There’s a Sea Cadet unit across the road from the steps that lead to the underpass, it’s a matter of when not if something bad is to happen in that area.

It needs closing. It's dirty, drunks and drug users are in it all the time. My young girls aged 12 yrs went through one time, egged on by friends to see the druggies

There really is no need for this with the above ground crossings nearby, it's become a drug den that's dangerous for the kids playing nearby, do the right thing for us all and close it off, thanks guys.

This underpass needs either closing or redeveloping. Tameside Council need to develop a positive solution to this issue

It is clearly unsafe to walk through at all times. Keeping it open would just allow more problems.

There’s no need for it with other crossing etc plus it costs tax payers money to maintain so just close it.

Close the tunnel or police it 24/7. The choice is yours but you have the duty to protect the residents and users.

This place needs a risk assessment the point score is very high and closure is needed. We need the Cllrs to take a tour and experience the danger.
