This underpass is an embarrassment. Either clean it and eradicate it as a hive for drug users or close it permanently

This underpass is clearly an environmental and health hazard at this stage. This cannot be ignored anymore. Do we have to wait for a child to pick up an infected needle before any action is taken. The needles are lying around on the street above the entrance right next door to a nursery. Surely somebody has to take action and close it down as a matter of urgency.

Close it as it is of no use to Tameside citizens, in fact it being open may very well lead them into danger and, knowing this, surely that would leave Tameside liable.

Dangerous and unsafe underpass. When I lived nearby, I witnessed all the behaviour which is regularly described, at all times of the day and night. And I never felt safe using it, despite it being a convenient shortcut in terms of it's location. Absolutely brick it up.
