These drug dens need to be sorted out regardless either in a underground walk way or old houses etc etc etc

If it can't be cleaned up and made safe, and it clearly can't, then it should be closed. There are other safe crossings nearby.

This underpass has been a health risk for years. I work in Ashton and live in dukinfield so this would be an ideal way for me to walk, yet even before the above ground crossings were added to BT roundabout, I would walk an extra 20 minutes up currier lane to avoid using this horrible pass. It's a place where drug users buy and where tameside's youth problem (and there is a VERY big youth problem all across tameside that goes unaddressed) hang out waiting to rob or beat innocent people. Place is an absolute hell hole, anyone local to the area knows to stay away from what is probably one of the most dangerous places in the borough... and there are plenty of them to choose from.

I'm flarkin so sick of it. It causes so much misery and every criminal on the town centre uses it as an perfect escape route.

I have been robbed at knife point twice. Once punched for my bag from a druggie and sexually abused by a guy under this bypass all within 15 years. I have reported and told the council time and time again someone will get murdered here and they never listened perhaps now they will
