People assume that people in Talega have a lot of money and so it doesn't matter. This is unfair. We have many financial obligations like all other families and have to budget too. This is unfair taxation which our country was founded upon.

The CUSD Board is way out of line on this. Hard to believe that two of its memebers made a statement that "they did not think Talega residents were interested in the money. Well Eileen and Jim when would you like to send me the money from your chekcing accout. How arrogant and stupid to make a statement like that.. Does anyone on the Board use common sense or ANY leadership background. You don't pick favorites in a situation like this.

We live in a community of 90 townhomes-only two homes have children! If any area of Talega should receive this reduction, this community should!

I feel strongly that the taxes in Talega should be reduced and the Talega homeowners are the ones that should benefit. It's the fair thing to do.

Attend the next CUSD Board Meeting on Dec. 11th at 7:00 p.m. The CUSD Board Agenda item 10 proposed by Trustee Ellen Addonizio concerns having the Board decide if it will reconsider its decision of August 14, 2013, Agenda Item 5, CFD 90-2 Improvement Area No. 2002-1, concerning the levy of special taxes. The bylaw indicates that a Trustee may request that a topic be placed on the agenda which has been recently considered and acted upon by the Board, providing there is new and relevant information on the topic. If Trustees approve this request, the matter will be placed on the agenda of the next Board meeting.
This is not fair to Talega families.
I am a CPA and understand finances well. Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist in the goal of "fairness".
