At the current rate, the Board will collect over $60 million in excess special taxes from Talega residents, beyond what is required to service the outstanding bonds, if they stop collecting taxes when the bonds mature. This number rises to $180 million if CUSD continues to collect excess special taxes until the last legal dates of collection (2042 and 2044).
