I have lived here in Redding for 27 years and I used to love it. The crime has gotten so out of control that I no longer feel safe anywhere especially in and around my own home. AB109 just gives so many rights to the ones who continually choose to do drugs and the illegal activities they do to get them. I know because I have two brothers that have been in and out of jail and prison for the past 35 years. Catch and release only hurts the law abiding citizens of this beautiful city. Something has to be done. Know too many people and businesses that are or already have left Redding and I am soon to follow.

Please do your job Governor Brown. Protect the hardworking taxpayers and stop making us pay for your sanctuaries for illegals and lazy people that think that they are "INTITLED". Do your job.!

Prop 47, AB 109, the lack of adequate consequences for crimes & lack of jail space to hold criminals who might otherwise be held, is destroying the fabric of our lives! That of our community and that of my family!! My family in many of the ways as the general community as well as in the way of MANY in the community, directly & very painfully like an abscess that never heals. Wondering when we'll get the call or knock notifying us that we've lost our daughter to the abuse of a chronic criminal who has been in and out of jail extensively or to the heroin he controls her with...
I could write a book on this subject but the message should be clear and this scenario isn't isolated, rather it's rampant!!

Putting innocent victims in harms way and at risk of this criminals is not What we Americans want.....As it is as of right now....We don't need more crimes, stabbings, murders on the expense of the Taxpayers...California is in State of Distress......The latest crime here is an 83 year old female grandma walking her daily walk in one our beautiful trail...She got attacked brutally by a released criminal....These people are violent and don't need to be tossed among our communities...

I was born and raised in Redding. I left in 1991. I have family in Redding I don't get to see because I fear being in Redding because of the crime and drug addicts who commit crimes right out in the open, with no fear of jail. Redding has become a literal dystopia.
