I work in Fire and EMS in Redding and couldn't agree more with this. We've completely lost our town, our parks, our trails and our peace of mind.

All he cares about is money. And Shasta county sheriff's .break the law to enforce the law. Governor you should resign. You have not helped not one person but yourself. And the people of northern CA. Hate you. Since you have been in office Redding CA crime rate had quadrupled. And another thing leaving county to decide weather or not people can grow there medicine is corrupt bull#@$#%

As a fairly new resident going on my 7th year, I have seen a dramatic turn for the worse in this community since I moved here.
My family and I moved here from the Bay Area to give my daughter a better quality of life. In th Bay Area, She was being exposed to gangs and road rage but here, she is seeing the same people panhandling all day long, day after day that she now recognizes some of them. She seeing people at all hours of the day, under the influence of who knows what, sometimes unclothed, wandering the street.
This is not why we moved here.
I love this town. I love the people, the since of the community coming together after a fire, but this is not something that we, as a community, can overcome without help.
The problem of vagrancy, drug use and crime by repeat offenders is so "in your face" and becoming the norm, that I am questioning whether my move was a good idea.
This town deserves better and as you are my representative, I expect you to do better.
