The board finally caved and the contract with Maker Learning Network is terminated. Dr. Spiva is back at the helm where she belongs and the corrupt members are gone for good. Stay vigilant because we have to ensure this new leadership actually follows through on the charter.

The "Take Back Our School Campaign" is an urgent value-driven effort to reclaim children's and the community's rights to fair and quality education; thus remaining true to Synergy's Charter and stakeholders' interests.
-Requiring the current board members to immediately step down due to multiple conflicts of interest.
-Immediately cancel the contract of Maker Learning Network (MLN)
-Immediately and unconditionally reinstate Dr. Spiva as Executive Director of Synergy School of the Arts and Technology

The board continues to hide behind their silence while the school crumbles under their mismanagement. I am spending every waking hour drafting formal demands to hold these people accountable for their blatant conflicts of interest. They think we will just fade away but they have no idea how wrong they are.

Why aren’t the parents being notified of what the board is doing. How does the board have the power to fire teachers and employees, And how are they allowed to be board members and be paid money from the school?
It really just blows my mind knowing Dr Spiva's background. And how hard he and others worked to bring this school to fruition that he is now in this unfortunate position.
My child only goes to this school because at orientation Mr Spiva was so down to earth and captivating when he spoke
I concur with the demand for resignation of the Synergy Board members Latorra Saxton, David Williams and Mackenzie Jackson. I am very upset of how they have been at cross purposes with education and our founder, Derrick Spiva. I am also very upset about the illegal ties they have to Maker Learning Network and their mismanagement of the organization at Synergy.
Not understanding why the board isn't meeting regarding the childrens needs, but trying to be the soul people to run the school. Aginst contracts signed in good faith
My children are safe and happy at their new school. This is something GOOD that has happened for our community. Taking that away would harm children.
Saddens me to see this, I love Charter Schools education unfortunately we see here the dismissal of educators to cut costs when our State has placed good amount of funds in their hands
