Australia needs mining investment more than mining investment needs Australia

We need the right balance between protection for the environment and investment in new projects that will provide the jobs and government revenue of the future. Delaying projects after they have had the required environmental approval is of no value to Australians. These 'loopholes' should be closed if they exist.

It's not just the miners but all the industry and small business that supports them. Bloody pathetic.

This project is too important to our region and country for political games to be played with it.

These projects need to go ahead before more people lose their livelihoods.

Time to take a stance against the so called greens, If they were honest about their cause they should stop driving cars, use no plastics as they contain petro chemicals, no electricity, no rubber, and go back to dragging women by the hair and carrying a club because they are living luxury but promoting pre-historic demands. Lets sell our coal and create jobs or other countries will especially the nations that receive handouits for renewable energy.

Mackay is in a very depressed state. The whole region is hurting due to the mining industry loss of jobs. Please listen and allow the Carmichael project to go ahead. We need jobs created so we can all survive.

Support this and the creation of new job, business and the businesses the mining industry keeps afloat for instance manufacturing.
