Despite the obvious benefits of mining investment and jobs across the broader community, the doomsayers need to realize that the modern environmental planning and ultimate rehabilitation is of enormous benefit to the operation and residual site. People need to think beyond a single generation. The clock is ticking and Queensland needs positive supported investment for the current and future generations.

I went to an information secession today and I was amazed to blearn we have been fighting to have Abbott Point to go ahead for 9 years no wonder there is so many people giving up and walking away from Business Its time for steps forward not backwards the greens have been in control for too long where is the publicity campaign that says what the town will gain and the low impact on there environment. Stop the greens will the facts .

Enough is enough. Queensland and Australia have very strong environmental laws-the green groups are simply delaying projects and jobs for queenslanders.

I believe the legal system must be structured in a way that fairly represents the interests of all members of the community, and encourages investment in Australia.

Until the Greenies acknowledge that everything in a modern society is grown or mined they will fail the credibility test.

Greens have become opposite to what they originally believed in - no one has a right to an opinion except them. It's their way or the Highway.
