I believe that Australia's and India's best interests are served with this Project going ahead.
I am disappointed that the arguments against the Project are opportunistic, misstatements of facts and immaterial.
The opposing parties delay tactics have indeed caused delay and lost JOBS.
We need strong Federal and State Government leadership to get this Project going.
The impediment to funding is the delay not the inherent nature of the Project.

I strongly believe that the "Carmichael Coal Mine and Rail Project" is one of the very important project for the development of Queensland, Australia and other countries. The authorities must go in detail to investigate to take right decisions atleast in favour of local people and economy. Government and people must understand the current and future situation and provide their support to such projects....... the delay tactic will not be helpful for anyone........

Development of Galilee basin and opening up new coal mines in Queensland and Australia is very important for the growth of Australia. A wrong impression is being spread by the groups against coal mining that India has plans to increase the coal production to 1.0Bt and will impact coal exports from Australia in future. This is not true. It is highly difficult to increase the coal production from the current 0.6Bt to 1.0Bt. Even if this is achieved, there will still be demand for imported coal (lower ash than produced in India) due to the growing demand for electricity.
I respect the Environment Laws of the country, but struggle to understand the effect of mining in a place where there are very few people living with in 100 - 150km from the mine site.

The development is easily visible to any sane person. No one can afford to go into the Adam eve era now. Not even Queenslanders. The delay tactics would surely lead to the collapse of economy like slow poisoning. If this is a beginning, stop this in order to have a balanced life. There is 197 000 000 square miles and no small piece of land used for good of mankind can harm mankind. Species are plenty but balanced life of mankind must be of utmost importance. Stop eyewash. Stop pretending to be good to species putting comfort of mankind aside.

Australia must now address the unhealthy level of imbalance between environmental advocacy controlling the opportunity to generate jobs and growth for hard working Australians. We need to open the door and support international investment, not stifle it through unreasonable red and green tape. Stand up for Jobs.

These delay tactics are causing affecting long term overall growth of the region and nation.
Government must plug the loop holes as it is answerable and responsible for well being of to entire community and not this minority group.
