Development of any economy is directly proportional to the number of employed person in that economy and also to the development of big business and foreign investments. If government does not support such projects the time is not far that Queensland economy might decline greatly and poverty will make it strong foor among society leading to drastic effects in every aspects of life.

Whether you are for coal mines or against them, once major projects are approved the approvals need to be respected for business certainty.

The time has come for Queensland Govt to support big projects without further delay to instill confidence into foreign investors. The general outlook of the state is taking a hit by actions of the fringe players who have no stake in the development of the state.

There is something fundamentally wrong with a system wherein a small minority of people can exploit the judicial system to jeopardise the Australian economy and derail a project like ‘Carmichael Coal mine’ which is proposed to be built to the highest environmental standards. Well-funded environmental groups have taken country to ransom. Silent majority need to get a voice. I see this petition as an important step towards this end and strongly endorse it. Hopefully, common sense will prevail.

Due diligence processes need to prevail rather than exploiting loopholes and circumventing factual outcomes. Sovereign stability is secured only by consistency and standards.

Projects like Carmichael mine having potential to boost the economy and job opportunities should be very well understood by the people instead of looking at the picture portrayed by the so called "well-wishers".
