Those opposing this project are more concerned to oppose any development that involves coal, than they are interested in how they are powering their airconditioners in summer. And likewise, they think their own jobs are remunerated without a connection to the rest of the economy

Australia has the world’s largest per capita fishing zone with its renewable resource stretching from rich tropical Cape York waters to teeming Antarctic waters. Yet our small population imports almost 3/4 of the seafood we consume. Our fishing industry has been shut down by UN rules and restrictions. Australia has 36% of the world's Marine parks.
Fish swim through our waters and are caught outside and sold back to us.

We have a large high quality coal resource and although small beside Chinese and American reserves it is huge per capita.
Our coal industry is being shut down based on misrepresentations contradicting empirical evidence including those from a taxpayer-funded academic contradicting empirical evidence in court: http://www.climate.conscious.com.au/docs/Precis20July2015.pdf

Queensland Resources Council needs to re-consider its support for activists aiming to end the coal industry. QRC needs to tell the truth on climate and not appease activists and BHP: http://www.climate.conscious.com.au/coaloh.html

Australians need a government that can support business and create jobs. That can distinguish between sound enviornmental managment of modern society and irrational want. Australians need investment and jobs, the current and ongoing delays to a foreign investor trying to create Australian jobs are unacceptable and harming to our way of life not to mention condeming millions of Indians to energy, health and standard of living poverty that we would not tolerate for our friends and family. We need leadership.
