Take action against legal loopholes

If it hasn't been grown--then is been mined!!

Why does this government continues to bow down to theses minority groups .We need to take a stand .

It makes sense to invest in our future and the future of our children. The creation of jobs in our country should be the highest consideration for all government representatives.

10 000 jobs and the opportunities and obvious economic benefits generated by the Carmichael Mine, Abbot point terminal and rail link construction simply can't be wrong and to see it sidetracked by 'faceless' green groups is a sad reflection of today's society as to how minority groups with no 'skin in the game' can derail economically important regional projects and effect the lives of so many by so few! Their stated strategy of 'disrupting and delaying key projects and infrastructure while gradually eroding public and political support...' is quite simply un-Australian to say the least!

Coal, Oil and Gas has fueled the growth of this country. In combination with renewable energy these resources will continue to do so for many decades to come. Prematurely and artificially subduing development of projects and resources that are both plentiful and cheap to produce will increase the cost of living, reduce foreign investment and increase unemployment. I fully support the resource industry and my future and many young Australians depend on these industries.

I have sent the following to our local MP for comments and action. I have been following the long drawn out debate on the “Extreme Greens”continued opposition to the development and operation of the mining lease for the Adani Carmichael Coal project. As a recently retired Senior Inspector of Mines for the Central Region of Queensland, I was responsible for the Galilee Basin among other areas. I continually inspected and audited this area on a regular basis and spoke to numerous property holders around the Galilee who are waiting for secure employment from these projects. The royalties earned from these projects would flow to the state government and local communities and would greatly increase the wealth and employment opportunities of the region. It has disturbed me that an organisation can continually sabotage and stop any mining lease or operation from commencing with various spurious claims presented to Australia’s higher Courts. These organisations, particularly the Mackay Conservation Group (MCG), can and do make regular Court appearances to stop this particular development at any cost. As you are aware, our local Mackay economy has suffered a devastating decline in employment opportunities with many thousands of miners being retrenched. The Carmichael project and other Galilee Basin projects would negate some of that unemployment. It is about time that this particular group is put under the microscope to identify where and how they obtain financial and legal assistance to be able to continue with their stated aim of destroying the coal industry and as a result, the economy of Central Queensland. The public has a right to know how the MCG receives their funding and from whom. Do all the persons involved in the MCG have a job? What is the MCG’s ultimate aim when the coal industry is no longer? When and where are the jobs coming from to support Central Queensland?

Have been in the Oil & Gas industry 45 years. Believe that the industry is ethical and attepmts to make every safeguard possible to conduct itself in a safe and sustainable manner based on observations over these years. Agreed, from time to time mistakes are made, but no one sets out to deliberately harm people or the environment. I have no shame being in this industry and Australia needs development.

With all the skulduggery going on in the background with the Mackay Conservation Group (MCG) legal challenges against the Adani Group Carmichael Mine project, the public has a right to know who or what groups are supplying the monies and the legal expertise in the numerous Court challenges. Is one of the groups Get Up! that has been identified in the Weekend Australian newspaper? Our local economy in the Central Region of Queensland, particularly Mackay and Bowen are suffering badly from the mining construction downturn and need jobs urgently. We have had enough of these fringe ratbag greenie groups who by the way, all have jobs.

Australia needs the resource industries to pay its way in the world. Have a look at our key exports. If we kill our exports we consign ourselves to poverty.

I am fully in support of this project which has made a concerted effort to address the concerns of conservationists.

I am Secretary of The Norwood Resource. We fully support the QRC in getting sense back into common sense when addressing these issues. Unfortunately the anti fossil fuel activists can't see beyond the end of their noses and ego's since the very products they campaign against sustains their and their loved ones life and has allowed us to develop. Coal for electricity, petrol for transport, gas for industry and heating - the list is endless, yet they want to trash the very things that allow them to live - time to get serious against this rubbish.

Green-Labor alliances = Bankruptcy for Australia.

Everyone with a Mobile phone needs mining, lithium for the battery, tin and lead for the circuit board wiring. The list is endless for everyday living.

Dear Mackay Conservation Group, How many kids died today in third world countries from respiratory diseases caused by the smoke from stoves which have to burn plastic bags, cattle dung and cardboard? Millions and millions of families don't have access to electric stoves and electricity in poor countries, like India. Why? - BECAUSE HAVE HELD IT UP THE ADANI PROJECT!!

Wake up and support sustainable development of our nation. The failings in our project review legislation must be addressed and government funding of legal challenges with the process needs effective control.

I grew up in the third world. I lived in a village in darkness as we had no electricity. No electricity = poor sanitation (no electric water pumps, fridges, clean stoves). Kids were sick and died from diseases preventable with a reliable power supply. These activists have never lived in poverty and do not understand that this project will bring millions of Indians out of poverty. Suggest these selfish people come and live in my village for a week .. they will last a day. Oh, sorry tell them, there is no expresso coffee machine there ..

What annoys me the most is, the people who are so hell bent on destroying our resource industry use the same resources themselves every day. You are right when you say these people must be stopped.
