We need to make this coal mine happen and the greenies need to work on making coal cleaner rather then try to stop these mines.

From what I seen the mines promote good environmental practices and leave the land in a better condition than it was originally. Human habitation has had more impact that the mines do longer term. The green groups seem to run scare campaigns based on little fact and blow it out of proportion. Australia needs mining and should support it more.

The current climate in Queensland with regard to progressing major projects has become very very difficult. It says to much needed foreign and local investment that Queensland and Australia is to hard to do business with. Projects need to be addressed on fact and not scare tactics by the left. The impacts are known and can be well managed in reality. There is a long history responsible environmental management on many projects within Queensland and Australia. Let it be managed and get on with creating Jobs.

Government needs to support the sustainable development of resource opportunities. If processes and guidelines are adhered to then environmental impact would be minimal and manageable.

Queensland needs to move forward. We have to think about where the jobs will come from without development. Current unemplyment rates in Qld is getting higher and hogher. Wellbeing for the people starts from job opportunities I guess. We need projects like this to encourage economic boost.

Projects should be assessed on a triple bottom line and all factors need to be weighed equally. Environmental factors are important but so are social and economic. The far left are using loopholes to halter projects which need to approved by moderated means. Let the project be decided or rejected by its merits and by stakeholders who are most affected not by extremist interest groups on either side of the fence.
