My pup is leash trained and when off leash always stays right by me on the trail, I love to be out in the woods to explore the beautiful scenery with my best friend.

Rather than restrict our four-legged friends from enjoying the freedom of nature, perhaps we can educate their owners on what is or is not acceptable behavior from their dogs toward other hikers.

My dogs love hikes. They get so much enjoyment and enrichment from running the trails, smelling the underbrush and being free. I avoid most official hiking trails because my dogs are required to be leashed. Hiking on a leash limits their experience. They feel more tension and frustration from not being allowed to be dogs. When I do meet other dogs on the trail, there is a definite difference in the tension levels when dogs are leashed vs off leash.

It would be great to have a "official" area, path or times when dogs could be off-leash on trails. I'm not a huge fan of small fenced dog parks where the focus is just with playing with other dogs. I'd love the option of an off-leash trail to take my pups.

Dogs have to be leashed in town and should be free while hiking with their owners as long as they are not a threat to others.

Absolutely support this! Our dogs need a place to run besides dog parks. My pup was attached at a dog park and now I don't like taking her there! She is s ball of energy because of her boxer breed and needs to get it out! What better place than nature, do we can both enjoy ourselves and get some needed exercise in! Many other cities have already done similar things! The fox hollow loop would be perfect!

This would make all kinds of common sense. My dogs are totally under control and would vote for this if they could.

Wow, this would be wonderful. I've been to other cities where this is has been accomplished and would love to see this in our town.
I most definitely support this
