Sylvia in the House
Take Sylvia all the way to the White House! Originally from Washington, DC, Sylvia Traymore Morrison is the only renowned African American Female Impressionist in the country. She was one of the first solo artists to tour and open for Whitney Houston - the arenas they performed in sometimes housed well over 30,000 people. When heavyweight boxing was at its zenith and Muhammad Ali was in his prime, Sylvia was asked to host a Roast of the Champ at the legendary Apollo Theater. Since that time Sylvia has opened for some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, The Temptations, and Cher. Sylvia recently released her first book, based on her true story, entitled "Almost There, Almost...The Many Faces of Sylvia Traymore Morrison." She is presently engaged in the DC Urban Arts Project, where she is being honored for her many contributions to the industry, and is working the national comedy circuit and starring in the 5th Commandment Tour. The proud mother of two daughters, Jasmin and Michelle, Sylvia has one dream left - to make it to the White House and perform for Michelle Obama, whom she frequently impersonates at her shows. And only you can take her there. Sign now to show support and get #Sylviainthehouse!
