For 12 years the students of Shoreham-Wading River High School have been trying to create a Gay-Straight Alliance club, and so far their efforts have been in vain. It's time the SWR administration really saw the importance of a GSA and recognize equality and respect as two things that the halls of SWR need to function. If we can ban the "R" word, we can ban homosexual slurs, discrimination, and the nonsensical barriers that exist between students for such trivial reasons as sexual orientation. Help in the creation of SWR's first Gay-Straight Alliance Club!

12 years is way too long to wait for something like this. equality shouldn't be up for debate in a school setting. do better swr.
