We, the students of Southern Adventist University, petition the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services, Marc Grundy, to reconsider and approve Swipe Away Hunger's ministry proposal. We feel that Enrollment Service's alternative suggestion of a collection of money is inappropriate due to the following reasons:
1) The majority of students cannot afford to give money.
2) A donation of money loses the personal aspect that a collection of food is designed to facilitate.
We the signers of this petition hereby declare that, if financially able, we will personally (and without the cooperation of Swipe Away Hunger, or any other campus entity) feed the homeless of the Chattanooga area with the remaining balance on our meal plans until Swipe Away Hunger has been approved.
FEED THE HUNGRY!! This is a ministry school, act like one.

its honestly ridiculous that they want us to just hand over cash when we have perfectly good food sitting on our cards. let us help people the right way.
