By signing this petition, I am urging the support of the university in starting a Yale chapter of Campus Kitchens. I show not only interest in this project, but am also committing one to two hours of my time each week to a cooking or food drop-off shift if Campus Kitchens comes to Yale.
Food is a social justice issue that is of particular importance to the city of New Haven. This project builds connections between Yale and the New Haven community, helps feed the homeless, raises awareness toward environmental and social justice issues surrounding food waste, and does this all at no cost to the University. The decision is clear to me: bring Campus Kitchens to New Haven!
The momentum for a Yale Campus Kitchens is undeniable. It is time for the university to see where we stand.

This is such a great idea. There is way too much good food thrown out in the dining halls while people across the street are actually hungry. Make it happen.
