I want the leadership of the City of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to pursue becoming a Sustainable City, with an aggressive ecologically sound and environmentally friendly City Plan. I want grass roots leaders to be involved. I want a CHANGE in how this city is run. If this city is to have a future, we must act now to change

1. Support development of urban agriculture and farms.
2. Offer up space in the city fr Community Gardens.
3. Adopt a Food Charter for the City Of Windsor.
4. Commit to a Sustainable City, LEED Buildings, Green Buildings Canada, Green Globes, etc.
5. Commit to Cradle-to-Cradle industry.
6. Pursue Alternative Energy use for all City buildings and residents.
7. Invest in a sustainable transit system.
8. Start now hiring only sustainable city minded staff and consultants, and engage with the citizens who want major change in the direction of our City of Windsor.

I started this because I wanted to see a greener Windsor but I never imagined so many people felt the same way. Reading through your stories about what our city could be is the only reason I am still pushing this forward. Truly this momentum belongs to all of you.

I am honestly stunned by how many of you care about the future of Windsor as much as I do. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I never imagined this simple request would spark such a movement. It is truly humbling to see what happens when everyone decides to show up together.

stop building malls and start building a community that actually cares about the environment. we deserve better than this.
Windsor needs to get with the times. Everywhere else is moving forward and we are stuck in the past.
this city has so much wasted potential. lets actually do something for once.
so tired of seeing empty lots that could be gardens. please fix this city.
