This is a serious concern for the safety of children.

I support the efforts of trying to reduce homelessness, however this is not an appropriate site for the shelter.

Please think of our kids first.

This is absurd! The location of this soon to be shelter will only increase the crime in the area. The ones affected by this are low income Americans, children, school teachers and families in the area. Something else must be done.

Mr. Mayor, Please find an alternate location away from our kids.

I am all in favor of placing the homeless in shelters, but not near schools. New Orleans has a lot of Unused areas and finding a place to build a homeless shelter should not be a problem. This city continues to disappoint me.

Not against helping the homeless situation in our city; just not in this location. Our impressionable children should come first.

There has to be somewhere else, a place which wouldn't have as great of an impact on the youth of this area.

This is not safe for the children or the neighbor hood. The hcmi are not stable and our children should not be exposed to this. They should be forced into a facility to obtain help.

Don't do it! Keep our kids sheltered...there'll be no shelter here!

Are any of the mayors five children still in school? If so, why not build this shelter with no boundaries next to their school and see if he agrees.

I agree with the need for this type of facility, but please reconsider the location.

Horrible location possibly endangering the children as well as the homeless the site will serve. Please find a more appropriate site.

Having an art gallery steps away from Ozanam Inn, I can fully appreciate the fears of having a "low barrier" homeless shelter near public schools. The parade of violent, falling-down drunk, and mentally ill people as well as panhandlers, everyday in front of the gallery is enough to deter residents as well as tourists.
