If you would like to support the efforts to create a free, public access Disc Golf course in the City of Surrey, please sign this electronic petition. Disc Golf is played according to the same basic rules as Golf, however: - the ball and clubs are replaced by flying discs (frisbees); - the hole is replaced by a basket. The object of Disc Golf is to complete a course of 9 or 18 holes with the fewest number of throws of the disc. It is important to know that Disc Golf is a sport that: - has existed for more than 30 years - is played on more than 2500 courses in 30 countries. - includes more than 50 Disc Golf courses installed in British Columbia, including several in Greater Vancouver (http://discbc.com/clubs/) with the glaring exception being Surrey - can be played by people of all ages - is very affordable, since a flying disc (frisbee) is the only equipment required in order to play Disc Golf is so popular that an association of professional players has existed for more than 10 years, and numbers more than 80000 rated members. (www.PDGA.com) Thank you for your support. Each signature helps enormously to support our initiative in our dealings with municipal and governmental bodies in the Surrey area.

Disc golf is a fledging sport where parents of children can actually afford the fees to participate even if recreational

I helped put the Centennial Park Disc Golf course in two years ago. It has been nothing but a positive feature in Mission's community with families, schools and the youth. Surrey would benifit greately with a Disc Golf course for everyone to enjoy! Thanks

10+ years experience. Fun. Just wish I had a course in my home city of Surrey. Been waiting so long for the 'City of Parks' to get on board like the rest of B.C. already has.

I am the great grandchild of Joe Brown. Joe Brown park would be a great location for a proper disc course. Our family would love to see this park being used for the youth rather than a body dump. Joe brown originally donated this land to keep the youth out of trouble. Regards Brad

Likely one of the last municipality in North America over 300000 in population without a disc golf course.

Disc golf yes! Such a positive family activity to promote for folks to get outside and move- without breaking the bank! Plus give our Canadian athletes better courses to train on and host community benefiting tournaments!
