It's shameful that anyone would ask that someone change what was naturally given to them.

My daughter has natural hair. She is more than just her hair. I want a future where she can be proud of her ancestry. Prove them wrong

This is appalling. The fact that this person has made it as far as becoming principal, is a sign that someone dropped the ball. She obviously still needs to be educated.

God forbid this should be against the law for them to make someone perm their hair; what next. My God!

Perming my hair was dropping my hair and my mom n i were tired that the perm only lasted one day or two .... so we stopped i braided my hair until my roots were healthy / long enough to style in a pull back short puff i naturally have curls n can rock the puff if comoletely combed out...... from the age if 16 i rocked my natural hair n cutting and coloring is fun for me ... 26 now and my hair is middle of my back in length and is healthy with green tips . .... i fully support the puff and is very sick of the education system in the bahamas when i was in school they sent us home if we hade colorful back packs frilly socks colored socks /shoes cant have any heel to them ... they confiscated if we accidentally left jewelery on our person ... our personalities were taken from us.... but keeping us from class / school made us not have our assigments n lost grades.... i wish i had this back then ....
