The parents should sue the school
The code says 'color' not style
This you lady is proud of her hair, it's beautiful & this should not be an school issue, let the students focus on their future.
It's being blown out of porpotion
If she has to pull it in a pony tail or bun, but don't for this girl to blend in b/c she never will she's unique, biracial, beautiful, brilliant with a bright future
Focus on her academics not her hair

Black hair is beautiful! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Afros, box braids, crochets, dreads or whatever you choose to wear should all be accepted unconditionally. We only think of straight hair as the norm because white standards of beauty dominate our culture and this is wrong.

You have a god given right to ware your hair in its natural state and to be proud of wearing it this way. Don't let anyone tell you what to do with YOUR hair, stand your ground for what you know is RIGHT because your hair represent you and if they don't like it let them turn their heads while you hold yours up HIGH.

I'm confused as to what the exact problem is. Rather straight or curly does it cause a disruption. It is all so absurd. Focus on educating the kids and instilling morals.

This is one of the most 2nd racist thing I've ecounterd with school in 2016 1st was asking all black kids to report to auditorium for a lecture on gang violence in Maumelle Arkansas this is a great stand we should not be forced to put chemicals in our hair to retain an education thank you for standing firm and strong on what you believe in and don't give up we got your back
