As a white girl that has been told my hair looks "messy and bushy" due to natural very curly hair And thus banned from wearing my hair in its natural way at work! I support you and am glad someone has brought this stupidity to light! Your hair looks great be proud !

We will stand for equality, no matter what form it takes. Make no mistake. I will tell everyone I know about this situation.

Although I stopped using chemical relaxers about 6 years ago, it wasn't until 3 years ago that I was confident and aware enough to rock my own hair. People made comments - still do but I know so much better now. And like they say, "When you know better, ya do better!" Here's to hoping that this particular incident will teach schools in the Bahamas to know better about what it means to have natural hair. For myself, for my people, for my ancestors, I support the puff!

I remember the natural hair movement in the 70's which was referred to as "militant" by the establishment. Wear your natural hair with pride and defiance.
