Our hair isn't a choice but the foundation on which we build our hair legacy. I agree that it should be combed but don't raise kids believing they can't express their own heritage because of a perceive norm. Teach them to respect their bodies as a temple, you won't have to tell them how to wear their own hair.

My, my, my, what is this world coming to when a black woman cannot be.... yet our skin color is to die for in tanning salons and our lips are copied on you know who....

All hair is beautiful, and can be kept well and presented in a professional way. There is nothing unprofessional, unkempt, or in anyway unlovely about natural textured hair. Afros, Poufs and other styles that allow women's natural beauty to shine are amazing and should not be suppressed or belittled. A woman's hair should be her choice.
