I'm so mad that steam is coming out of my ears that the principal of the school is attacking this child for not wearing a weave or relaxing her hair. It's obvious if she had 'good' hair aka close to 'mixed' hair instead of more African textured hair than nothing would have been said. It's the casual self hatred of the principal and school board that really gets me. We have so far to go with not just external but internal racism. SHAME on those people and to that young girl STAY STRONG and true to yourself! You look beautiful and I love the poof!

I hope the girls can return to school soon. Their education is of the utmost importance. Their hair and the way they choose to wear it does not affect the learning process one bit.
