I grew up being told my hair was not pretty when it was natural. I permed it the first chance I got. I have 3 daughters and the four of us have natural curly and thick hair. I won't ever let someone tell them they aren't beautiful the way that they were born into the world.

It's unbelievable that we even have to sign a petition.

It's sad that in 2016 we are still being told we are not good enough. I have been natural for 3 years and rock my afro and puff with pride. Our hair is beautiful. Wear it with pride!

#SupportThePuff Natural hair is here, been here, and won't ever go away. It's not a trend, but moreso a way of life. We have and will embrace our blackness, our boldness, and our fierceness and this includes but is not limited to our natural hair. No one should ever tell us we have to change that to fit into categorical norms.

This terrorizing black women and forcing them to imitate white women stops NOW. We are beautiful in our natural state just like everyone else. This is sickening.

The Principal needs diversity training and she should issue a national apology. #SupportThePuff; #BlackPuffsMatter; #BlackGirlsMatter

Outrageous. Black girls whom are natural (myself included) should be able to freely wear it this way. This is not a perm nor a kit. This is how God created us and we are beautifully and wonderfully made.

Whoever said the young lady's NATURAL HAIR is untidy IS not mentally fit to make that judgement.

I used to wear my hear relaxed. I now wear my hair natural. It's so versatile. In its natural state it's healthy and beautiful. In these times we are way past the old days. Wearing your hair natural is in style in every work place.

It's ridiculous that this has to be an issue! School is for learning.

I've been wearing my hair in dread locs for the past five years and my only regret is that I didn't loc twenty years ago. What could be more beautiful that natural. Please let someone TRY to tell me i'm not fabulous with my magnificent crown.
