Please remove judge Stevens from suspension. The black community is beyond weary of the American justice system. We need as many voices speaking from within the system.

I don't think it's fair that black people cannot support Judge Stevens with monetary gains. Police officers (white police) murder our people and they can receive donations.

Mr. Wine, the prosecutor, used peremptory challenges to exclude all of the African American members of the jury pool, successfully creating an all-white jury. Mr. Batson appealed his conviction of the crimes to the US Supreme Court.
His argument was that dismissing all for of the black jurors violated his 6th and 14th Amendment rights. The Court ruled in Batson's favor. The State cannot prevent jurors from talking part simply because they are of the same race as the defendant. Stevens clearly seen the unbalance selection of the jury and spoke up.

Put this great courageous man back on the bench NOW! Shame on Kentucky for doing this. Your racism couldn't be more apparent!

We need someone that's willing to fight for the right cause. Juries need to reflect the community. Imagine having an all black jury for a white person on trial. Prosecutors wouldn't go for it. A jury of my peers should include people that look like me. Not a group of people that doesn't look like me or understand where I come from.
