What the judge did is right. Don't punish an innocent man for doing what people of color and so many whites know should be done. It's not fair!

I feel that Judge Stevens used his better judgement. How can a person be judged by their peers if there is no one on the panel that looks like her/him? If the case were the other way around, what would have happened if the person was white and the panel was all Black? He is educated, that's why he's on the bench. I'm sure he attended the same educational institution as other judges on the bench. They are allowed to use their judgement, why can't he? Are they now going to be unfair to this judge as they are to the lay person? This may take on an effect we don't want to see this judge or other judges to be affected by in the future.

You are on the right track. And you have my support.

Include mine with the voices of fairness and equality, standing opposed to the voices of domination, control, and oppression.

Thank you judge. So long have we seen such unfair treatment while white American get away with horrible crimes. We watch and wait. Still the same outcome. It's time a judge send the message regardless of this crime fair treatment of all means blacks too. Stop this method and be clear to prosecutors who don't mind sending blacks to jail while setting White criminals free to do now harm to society. Thanks judge we need more men insert the robe like you instead of the klan in black robe sending us to jail. Prosecutor you should be jailed for this mockery of the court that you ate sworn to serve fair and impartial.

The premise behind having a jury of one's peers is to ensure fair representation in the jury pool. According to the Nolo Plain English Law Dictionary, this means defendants are entitled to "the constitutionally guaranteed right of criminal defendants to be tried by their equals, that is, by an impartial group of citizens from the legal jurisdiction where they live. This has been interpreted by courts to mean that the jurors should include a broad representation of the population, particularly with regard to race, national origin, and gender." It appears to me that Judge Stevens is the only judge in his jurisdiction who believes in guaranteeing such rights.

Please let the jury, any jury be representative. There shouldn't be an all black jury to sentence a white person either. We still have a long way to go

I've been summoned for jury duty but I also found it absurd that out of 100 - 150 people in the room only were black not to mention my son jury was ALL white and I knew he didn't have a chance, heck our hired white lawyer even said we didn't....This shouldn't be happening this day and times. A Change MUST Come.
