The 6th and 14th Amendment says you cannot have the entire jury consist of people that is the same gender as the defendant, it goes without saying that the jury should consist of both genders. The same should apply where it concerns race, the phrase "a jury of one's peers" should be a cross section of the population of the community, in terms of gender, race, and national origin. The jury selection process MUST NOT exclude or INTENTIONALLY narrow any particular group of people.

When a judge seek to make sure the person is judge by a jury of his or her peers he should be awarded not punish.

Seriously, you cannot put African-American's fate in the hands of an all White jury. The calendar has advanced from 1965, but certain attitudes haven't. Therefore, diverse juries are imperative. Not only in regard to ethnicity but also gender. The Judge is doing the right thing in standing up for this principle. May God be with him as he meets with this challenge.

Judge Olu Stevens has every right to make the jury fair and equal. We all have had enough of never having a mixed jury.... Thank you Judge Stevens for making changes for the better.
