looking at having another baby. Would love a VBAC and dont understand the justification behind not allowing them at the rosie

Equal rights for all pregnant women! Calling a lady trying for a vbac "high risk" when the evidence shows only an increase of 0.2% is incomprehensible!! High risk is over 90%, 9 out of 10, not 1 in 500!! It's blatant discrimination. Get real, we are educated women who can think for themselves not stupid pre-schoolers
The risk of uterine rupture is tiny, 0.2% ! No birth is without any risk,so a woman who has had a previous section should be given every chance to labour naturally with as little intervention as possible

I think it is so important that we offer mothers the option of being in the birth suite. I just don't see why a previous caesarean should be a reason not to allow this!

I had 2 VBACs and strongly agree with this petition. I was not happy with all the rules and restrictions that were placed on me (especially second time around) and believe my birth exoerience could've been a much better one if the environment was different.

Absolute nonsense not to encourage physiological birth for women at such high risk of success!

As a VBAC myself I think it is important for women to birth their babies where they see fit... If they know the risks and benefits... It should be their choice.

surely natural birth is better if possible and being so close to doctors help if required is better then a journey into hospital from home?

Many birth centres accept VBAC mothers already.

Every woman should have the right to choose how and where she gives birth. Stop controlling birth and by that token ,women.
