Supporting VBAC mothers right to gain admittance into the Rosie Birth Centre

Please support women in their birth choices.

I choose a HVBAC in S.Cambs - would have chosen the midwife led unit if it were an option for me.

Stop telling women what they are 'allowed' to do. All women should be 'allowed' to labour where they feel safe and supported, whether that is in the BC, CLU or at home. Support her in her choice - genuinely.

I achieved my vbac in hospital but if we have another will be opting for home birth- women deserve the right to choose where they give birth!

My Vbac would have been a much nicer experience if i hadnt been foced to be strapped up in delivery. This time round Vbac2 i am fighting for a home birth without backing from consultant!

This shouldn't have to be a fight! Women have rights

Every woman deserves to have the opportunity to have the birth they want.

Every woman should be allowed to birth where she feels safest and is offered the most support in achieving the birth the parents wish.

This means so much to a close friend, so I in turn feel very strong to push for her and give my support!!

We need ALL VBAC women to be given access to ALL midwife led units in the UK. All VBAC women need to make informed choices about place of birth that is right for them, which means choice of hospital, birth unit or home. NICE guidelines state that VBAC work should be treated NO differently from any other first time mothers.

A mother should have the right to chose where she gives birth as long as she is made aware of risks, benefits

I managed to have my VBAC on the Birth Centre. I had to fight for it though. Up until a couple of days before I went into labour I potentially didn't have anywhere to give birth. I'm so glad the Rosie saw sense! My VBAC at the Birth Centre was amazing. I had great midwives and I felt so safe, evident by the fact that I went into transition almost as soon as I got in the pool. Every woman should have the opportunity to do what they feel is best for their baby. I don't think any mother to be should have to go through the stress that I went though, or choose their second option, where they may not feel safe. This policy needs to be changed! x
