My local Chinese school has shut down due to lack of funding and it would be sad to see another one go. Even though children of Chinese origin growing up in Britain may never need to read or write in their mother tongue, learning out theIR mother culture is a vital part of forming and developing their own identities. It's important for each of is to understand where we have come from, and that there's a wider world out their, it helps us to understand and appreciate the cultural differences in the society we live in today.

Chinese is a great language to learn but not that easy so proper management and good teachers are essential.

Hope you find an amicable resolution to your difficulties to keep the school running and find a way of retaining the knowledge Mr Cheung and colleagues all have. Good Luck

What's the point of closing something that's is obviously such a resource in the community - it makes more sense to keep things that are dear to so many people

The Wah Sing school is a wonderful place built on voluntary work and dedication. I hope you all work out a way together to keep the school running.

I went to this chinese language school in the 80s. Is the one and only school where Chinese kids learn their mother tongue otherwise kids will lose their heritage

This school means a lot to me! I have studied here for six years followed by seven years of teaching. It is heartbroken to see the school in this situation. Children deserve a better learning environment!!
