This petition is addressed to President Barack Obama. Those who have signed are humbly asking President Obama to embrace "fracking" (hydraulic fracturing) for the sake of more jobs and energy independence. As a practical consequence of this, we ask the Obama Administration to not thwart the forward movement of energy production in the United States with unnecessary regulation on "fracking" as we move forward through 2013 and beyond. Of course, conversations should be had about environmental care and prudential regulations, but in the big picture, we are asking President Obama to support fracking as a matter of policy
