As a teacher in the district, and as a parent of two kids who have had Coach Oswald, I support him. This is a problem with policy and needs to be addressed as so. Shame on LSR7 for dragging this man through the mud.

The administration is acting unprofessional and in my opinion embarrassing. Don't be so "Triggered" by a word or name and then take it to this level trying to make the district look good. Act your age! This sounds like a good time to replace you!

Let this petition show that Joe Oswald was acting out of poor policy guidance and not unprofessionalism. The real issue is unjust school policy and poor racial protection in the LSR7 school district regulations. Educating faculty and implementing policies that strictly enforce racial protection is the schools responsibility and they have clearly failed.

Coach Oswald is an upstanding teacher this is ridiculous what is being done to him. He is a mentor a football coach and a confidant to these high school children. This situation for him is unfounded and outlandish

I’m appalled to hear that the district is not supporting Coach Oswald in this situation! It seems he is going punished after following guidelines the district has put in place! I have had three of my own children go through PLMS and one more who will attend this school! This makes me question leadership in that building, losing trust that school situations will be handled fairly for kids and for Mr. Oswalds colleagues! This situation is ludicrous and makes me extremely sad for our school district!

Wow...fix this ASAP. Even if what he did was wrong (which it appears wasn’t) doesn’t an outstanding educator deserve a second chance? Are mistakes a one an done thing? Good luck hiring educators if they know they won’t survive one mistake. There are some great learning opportunities here but firing a teacher will just teach people that you can’t make mistakes and you also can force good people out of work.

Fully support our teachers working under such stress. The lack of support from the school board and the administration is a huge embarrassment. Coach O should be reinstated immediately.
